After an exhilarating return to Zandvoort in the Netherlands, Formula 1 will cap off a triple-header of races with the Italian Grand Prix.

Known as the 'Temple of Speed', the 5.793 km Autodromo Nazionale di Monza provided one of the shock results of the 2020 season as AlphaTauri's Pierre Gasly took his first career victory ahead of Carlos Sainz and Lance Stroll.

This year the focus will no doubt be on the championship battle between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, with the Dutchman holding a three-point advantage following wins in Belgium and the Netherlands.

However, as is always the case in Italy, the home fans will have their eyes on Ferrari who enter the race having recently moved past McLaren for third in the Constructors' Championship.

When is the 2021 Italian GP?*

The weekend gets underway on Friday with the first practice session followed by qualifying as Monza will play host to the second Sprint Qualifying event of the season.

Qualifying will follow the familiar Q1, Q2, Q3 knockout-style format while Saturday's Sprint Qualifying event will be 18 laps with no mandatory pit stops. The two practice sessions will remain 60 minutes in length.

This will determine the grid for Sunday's Italian Grand Prix, which takes place at 14:00.

How can I watch the 2021 Italian Grand Prix?

In the United Kingdom, the Italian Grand Prix will air live and exclusively on Sky Sports F1. Coverage of the race will begin at 12:30 BST/13:30 CET with the likes of Martin Brundle, Damon Hill, Nico Rosberg, Karun Chandhok and Paul Di Resta at the venue.

Race highlights will be shown on Channel 4 on Sunday evening. The programme airs at 18:30 BST with commentary from Alex Jacques and David Coulthard.

It will also be available to watch on the All 4 on demand service. Details of various broadcasters across different locations can be found below.

There will be live coverage of the 2021 Italian Grand Prix on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra. Coverage begins at 14:00 BST/15:00 CET.
