Video: Does this analysis shed new light on the Verstappen/Hamilton crash?

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton's second clash of the season sparked plenty of reaction and debate. Now, popular motorsport content creator Crashalong has released a 3D animation to break down each phase of the incident.

An incredibly detailed 3D animation of the latest collision between F1 title rivals Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton has been released by Crashalong, a popular motorsport content creator who specialises in recreating real-life motorsport crashes.

Having gone wheel-to-wheel through the first chicane at Monza on Lap 26 of the Italian Grand Prix, Verstappen's Red Bull struck the sausage kerb and jumped over the top of the Mercedes, with the Halo on Hamilton's W12 taking the weight from the RB16B as the two cars came to rest.

Crashalong has recreated the incident from start to finish, including some unique angles from above and super slow-motion close-ups, in a bid to shed more light on who was to blame, and the role the Halo played.
