F1 has released dramatic new video footage of the collision between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton in the Italian Grand Prix.
Footage from a 360-degree camera fitted to Hamilton's car shows the incident as it unfolds at Monza's Rettifilo chicane, with the two title rivals coming to blows midway through the Grand Prix – their second major clash of the 2021 season.
Both drivers were eliminated from the race on the spot, with Hamilton's Halo cockpit protection device taking the full brunt of the weight from the Red Bull as it came to rest, before sliding over the front of the Mercedes.
An additional 360-degree camera on Verstappen's car shows the Dutchman jumping out and walking past Hamilton.
