RB has become the second F1 team to reveal a special Singapore Grand Prix livery after Red Bull pulled the plug on theirs.
The machines to be driven by Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda at Marina Bay will take on the look of a pair of denim jeans, complete with stitching and a zipper in the first fashion-inspired livery in F1 in nearly 30 years.
Since the famous 'United Colours' of Benetton liveries in the mid-1990s, no F1 team has run a fashion-focused livery, with the 'denim' theme set to expand to the garage as well, with Ricciardo and Tsunoda all set to wear bespoke race suits and attire.
"Over the years we’ve seen fashion brands join forces with F1 teams and drivers, especially when it comes to outfits, but never have we seen any of them take this step in full immersing themselves on track too," said Ricciardo.
"We’re really raising the stakes here and paving the way, showcasing that there’s so much more that can be done for brands to explore. I think we’re definitely going to open the eyes of these fashion houses and see more fashion-inspired liveries come to life."
It is the second special Singapore livery announced thus far, with Mercedes sporting a new look to celebrate 50 years of title sponsor Petronas.
The senior Red Bull team was also set to run a special custom livery, but the team has abandoned those plans owing to weight concerns.
