For the first time since 2006, Formula 1 is using the 'old track' at the Spanish Grand Prix as the final chicane has been removed.
The long-held calls for Turns 14 and 15 to be reverted back to the flat-out double right blast have been listened to in time for the 2023 race, with lap times tumbling.
After the first two Friday practice sessions, Max Verstappen cemented his tag as favourite for pole position by doing the double, with healthy margins to Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso in the two sessions.
