Aston Martin will change its name for the 2024 Formula 1 season after agreeing an exclusive deal with current sponsor Aramco.
Previously known as Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team, Cognizant will be dropped for next season with the Silverstone squad formally becoming Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, from January 1st, 2024.
The Saudi Arabian oil company had joined the team as a sponsor ahead of the 2022 season and will now expand to have exclusive title sponsor rights.
"We are very proud to continue and strengthen our successful partnership with Aramco," explained owner Lawrence Stroll.
"We already enjoy an important strategic relationship and their support as our title partner for the next five years is a clear demonstration of our shared ambition.
"Since 2022, they have played a key role in Aston Martin's Formula One journey and their contribution will only become more significant in the years ahead.
"We are working together on several key initiatives, including the development of advanced fuels for 2026, when we begin our Honda works power unit partnership."
Aston Martin finished fifth in the 2023 season with 280 points with eight podiums for Fernando Alonso, who took fourth in the Drivers' with Lance Stroll 10th.
