Alpine complete shakedown of A523 at Silverstone

Alpine have become the latest team to complete a shakedown of their 2023 challenger, ahead of their midweek launch date.

The Alpine team are the latest to have completed testing mileage ahead of the official preseason test. The Enstone-based team took to the track with Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly to complete a filming day and maximise the 100km running allowance. The team confirmed that Ocon completed nine laps of the full Silverstone Circuit before handing over to new recruit Pierre Gasly, who toured eight times. “It’s been another milestone ticked for the A523 today with our shakedown at Silverstone and I’m pleased the day ran so smoothly," said Alpine Technical Director Matt Harman. "Esteban drove first in the morning to check all the systems were working properly as well as completing the usual install programme for the car. "Pierre was then in the car in the afternoon for the first time in the A523 and completed eight stable laps to get an initial feel in his new surroundings." Alpine officially unveil their 2023 car on Thursday 16th February.
