Adrian Newey is about to announce his departure from Red Bull, according to reports in German media.
Doubts about the long-term future of Red Bull's Chief Technical Officer have been growing, especially as Ferrari is keen to fulfil a long-held ambition to sign the Briton.
He has also been linked with a big-money offer by Aston Martin after growing rumours of discontent around how the Christian Horner investigation saga reportedly making Newey unhappy, with Auto Motor und Sport believing he is to announce his departure imminently.
RacingNews365 understands that Newey's departure will come at the end of the season following 19 seasons with the team.
There is no indication at this stage where Newey could move to, if he decides to continue working in F1.
During a recent exclusive interview with RacingNews365, the most successful designer in grand prix racing history, indicated that he was keen to stay in the series, and add to his tally of 12 Constructors' and 13 Drivers' championships.
RacingNews365 has reached out to Red Bull with a request for comment.
