Williams' F1 drivers Alex Albon and Franco Colapinto have been summoned to see the stewards in Austin, Texas.

The pair are alleged to have breached Article 20.1 of the FIA sporting regulations, which centres around weekend assemblies.

Every race weekend sees a drivers' briefing held, with F1 race director Niels Wittich taking charge of the meetings.

They are compulsory for the drivers to attend - however ahead of the US Grand Prix, Albon and Colapinto were flagged for “failure to attend the drivers' meeting at the scheduled time”.

Article 20.1 of the sporting regulations details that “at each Competition where a sprint session is scheduled, Meetings, chaired by the Race Director, will take place three (3) hours before the start of P1, one (1) hour after the end of P1 and one and a half (1.5) hours after the end of the sprint qualifying session.

“The first must be attended by all team managers and the second and third by all drivers and team managers.”
