Red Bull will launch its RB17 hypercar at Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.

The Milton Keynes outfit is celebrating 20 years of Red Bull in Formula 1, with a line-up that will include drivers past and present, including David Coulthard, who raced for the team from its debut campaign in 2005 until his retirement from F1 in 2008.

The centrepiece of Red Bull's exhibit will be the all-new RB17 hypercar, designed by outgoing chief technical officer Adrian Newey.

"Designed, developed, and manufactured entirely in-house, the RB17 will feature a two-seat carbon fibre monocoque chassis with a semi-stressed mid mounted V10 engine and a carbon fibre gearbox driving the rear wheels," Red Bull said of its impending launch.

The team also confirmed that only 50 of the car, capable of more than 350 kph, will be produced.

'The RB17 exudes rarity and engineering excellence'

Red Bull Advanced Technologies was formed in 2014. Its purview is to help bring elements of F1 technology to other applications and disciplines.

The RB17 is a culmination of that approach, and the car will be revealed in the Cathedral Paddock on Friday 12 July 2024, on the second day of four at the Goodwood Festival.

Of the RB17, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said: “We are excited to debut the RB17 to the public for the first time and couldn’t think of a better world stage than Goodwood Festival of Speed.

"The RB17 exudes rarity and engineering excellence. We’ve channelled everything we know about racing into making the ultimate performance car and can’t wait for the public to see the result.

"I’m also just as thrilled to be bringing such a remarkable selection of cars and drivers to the iconic festival and look forward to celebrating our 20th season in front of such passionate motorsport fans.”

Meanwhile, the Duke of Richmond, founder of the Festival of Speed, added: “I am delighted that Oracle Red Bull Racing will be joining us at the Festival of Speed this summer to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

"In such a poignant year for the Formula 1 team, I am honoured they have chosen the Festival of Speed as the venue to unveil the much- anticipated RB17 for its global public debut, and I know our fans will be hugely excited for the team to bring a multitude of their championship-winning cars and drivers to the event this year.”
