The Red Bull employee behind allegations levelled at team principal and CEO Christian Horner has been suspended, RacingNews365 has learned.
Horner was at the centre of an investigation by Red Bull GmbH following allegations of inappropriate behaviour against him, though it was announced ahead of last weekend's season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix that he had been cleared of any wrongdoing.
The story continued when an anonymous email source delivered alleged evidence to journalists in the paddock, FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali and the remaining nine team principals, containing supposed leaks of his conversations with the female employee.
The saga has led to claims that reigning world champion Max Verstappen could sensationally leave the Milton Keynes-based side for Mercedes, whilst his father, Jos, has stressed the team will "explode" if Horner remains in charge.
The news that the female employee behind the allegations has been suspended is the latest development in the story, which is continuing to dominate headlines ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
A Red Bull spokesperson said: "We are unable to comment on an internal employee matter."
