F1 looks set to be getting an eleventh team on the grid for 2026, with RacingNews365 understanding that General Motors and Andretti's requested entry has been accepted.
RacingNews365 understands that is looks extremely likely that the American outfit will soon be confirmed as a new F1 team, with GM having greater involvement.
A team name is yet to be decided on, with GM being more involved now in the project. It looks set that 2026 will be the first season since 2016 to feature 11 teams on the grid.
The championship and the 10 current teams had been negative towards the idea of a new team entering, although a change of heart seems to have occurred.
