Lewis Hamilton continued where he left off at the end of FP1 in Las Vegas by topping the second practice session.
Mercedes enjoyed another strong session as George Russell slotted into third place while Lando Norris placed in between the two Silver Arrows.
Red Bull did not complete a low fuel run on soft tyres, leaving Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez 17th and 18th respectively.
One red flag was deployed during the session when Alex Albon ground to a halt on the track, moments after being released from the pit lane following an investigation into a fuel system issue.

I was at the track last night,as I live here in Las Vegas, and was amazed that hamilton was doing so well, as with a great car, the great driver comes out..Good Job Sir Hamilton!

Hi Jack, I'm well jel you got to be race side to watch them last night, it seems like a spectacle alright! Can you put your thoughts here on what you were seeing in regards to the Red Bull, and even the RB teams, struggles in the Practices 1 and 2 please? Max and Chico obviously have had some steering and wing issues, but Liam and Yuki...are they struggling with the similar issues as well as adjusting to using Max's gearbox set-up? I see Yuki did manage a 10th in FP2, but Liam , although slightly improving up to 15th, seems to be uncharacteriscally having issues in the practices too, although I'm aware he's not technically driven in LV before. Your thoughts please, mate?

LOL, soory mate, im retired, and age 80, and couldnt afford to see much, as I didn't have a ticket, and I live here in las Vegas, But I still was blown away by the slight and sound of the cars. However, im not too old to see you trying to make fun of me, mate. I was at the 1960 US GP in riverside California, and watched hundreds of sports cars Races, and was at the Nuemberg race in 1967, while in the US Army in Germany. I saw all the US GPs that were run in Long Beach California ,as I lived there. I have seen every great driver in history driving, even Fangio, in an race in a M B GP car, from 1955. Maybe you should just stick to being a smart ass, and not try to insult people you never met or know, Nice scolding you MATE!

Nope, sorry mate, you're well and truly barking up the wrong tree there. I wasn't being a smartass in any way, shape or form. I contracted Covid and that developed into Long Covid which eventually cost me my job, therefore I don't have cable TV anymore due to the cost over here, and cannot stream any of the lead up or the races themselves atm, so I was genuinely asking your thoughts on the Red Bull and Racing Bulls car woes in Vegas, as I mistakenly thought you might have been at the circuit and saw them practice and you sounded knowledgeable, as your list of impressive F1 stars, tracks and races you've seen over the years actually confirms. So, I'm not sure at all how you even read into what I wrote as being 'smartass', in no way was I inferring anything of the sort. I guess my mistake was thinking an American stranger might be courteous enough to respond kindly to a request for information. No worries though, I won't be making the same mistake again. I was going to finish here with actually saying something smart-ass, but I'm choosing instead to be a bigger and better man. Enjoy the race.
