Alex Albon triggered a brief red flag in Las Vegas Grand Prix Free Practice 2 after grinding to a halt in his Williams.
The Thai had already missed a large chunk of the session with a fuel system problem, and was emerging for a second run from the pits.
However, he got stuck in second gear and stopped out on track.
A statement from Williams confirmed the problem had struck again.
"The team attempted to repair Alex’s fuel system and participate in the remainder of FP2, however the issue has persisted which unfortunately forced the car to stop on track. We will investigate further after the session," read the statement.
Albon's red flag was only brief after he handily stopped at a marshal point, allowing for quick recovery, but as marshals were required to enter the track, the session was briefly stopped.
