Alex Albon is reportedly 'keen' to break from his current contract at Williams, which has him at the Formula 1 team until 2025.

The Thai-British driver has been one of the stars of the 2023 season having impressed in the midfield Williams, which has caught the eye of those up and down the grid.

Although Albon signed a multi-year contract with Williams in 2022 and set to run until 2025, he is reportedly trying to 'free himself' from the contract.

Albon 'key' to 2024 driver market

Albon has already remained cautious about committing his F1 future to Williams, claiming that he is committing to staying until his contract "pretty much ends" with the team.

According to ESPN, two teams have attempted to get him out of his current deal to drive for them last year.

Several are also said to be monitoring the situation as they assess plans going forward, with Albon being branded a "big part of the puzzle" for the 2024 driver market.

Albon will once again race alongside Logan Sargeant at Williams in 2024, with the grid remaining unchanged since the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
