Lance Stroll has been summoned to see the stewards under peculiar circumstances in Barcelona.

The Aston Martin is alleged to have breached Article 19.2 c) of the sporting regulations on Friday.

It relates to not being present for a fan engagement activity prior to the start of the opening practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix weekend.

The relevant part of the regulations reads: “Within a one hour period finishing no later than one and a half hours prior to the scheduled start of P1, 10 drivers must be available for fan engagement activities for a maximum period of 30 minutes each (this window includes the time required to travel to and return from the fan activity) within the one hour period.”

Stroll will see the stewards prior to the start of FP2 on Friday afternoon.

The Canadian ended the opening session in 14th place.
