Sergio Perez is adamant he has no concerns over his future with Red Bull despite conceding he "fucked up" again to continue his run of wretched form with Red Bull.
For the second successive British Grand Prix - and for the third time in the last five races this season - Perez was knocked out in Q1, leaving the Mexican starting 19th on the Silverstone grid.
On this occasion, on soft tyres in drying conditions, a snap of oversteer on the approach to Copse saw Perez head onto the run-off where he then slid into the gravel, beaching his RB20.
The incident comes at a time when Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has made clear his driver is under-performing, further indicating that despite signing a new contract earlier this year, that is no guarantee he will continue.
Following another miserable qualifying performance, Perez again found himself answering questions about his future. Speculation is starting to surface he could even be axed before this season is out.
As to whether he was confident of retaining his seat in the short term, Perez said: "Yes, of course. I am fully committed to the team, fully committed to my career. I have a contract with the team and I will turn things around.
"It's not something that distracts me or anything like that. I just want to get back to my form and focus on the important things. I am fully focused on my job, which is to deliver tomorrow. So I don't have to think anything else.
"The most concerned about it is myself. I want to get back to my form as early as possible, and then just fully focus on my form.
"I'm just trying to find the solutions. I think we are making good progress. We are just about to unlock couple of tenths from our side, and our life will be very different, back to where we were at the start of the year.
"So let's keep our head down and full focus on the race tomorrow. But it's a long year. I've been in this business for long enough so I know exactly what to do and how to turn things around, and I will not give up. I will turn this one around."

Perez, though, knows his latest mistake was another costly one, particularly at a time when Red Bull is facing a fight to retain its constructors' championship.
Reflecting on what unfolded, he said: "I was trying to warm up the tyres going into Turn 9 when I downshifted and lost the rear end and went off the track. Cold tyres and water off the track and I ended up going into the gravel.
"I could not stop the car, I could not go straight, and a very unfortunate incident. It seemed to be quite wet on the entry, and on the white line it was quite slippery.
"Unfortunately, I was the first one probably to go through that corner on a slick tyre, cold tyres, so everything combined, it was the result. Even probably 20 minutes after, it was still a tricky corner.
"But anyway, I put my hand up because I fucked up today. Tomorrow is a new day."
