Lando Norris has received the all-clear from medical staff in Las Vegas after suffering a heavy crash during the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The McLaren driver lost control of his car at Turn 12 and hit the wall hard before skating off into the escape road.

Norris was able to step out of the car unaided but McLaren Team Principal Zak Brown reported that the 24-year-old was winded as a result.

He was checked out by medical staff at the local medical centre at the track before being transferred to the University Medical Centre as a precaution.

McLaren has since confirmed that Norris has been given the all-clear and has been released from the facility.

Norris' non-finish in Las Vegas marks the first time he has failed to see a chequered flag this year, as team-mate Oscar Piastri banked two points for a 10th-place finish and the first fastest lap of his career.
