Max Verstappen now holds a 63-point lead over Charles Leclerc after the pair experienced contrasting fortunes at the French Grand Prix.
Leclerc led the early stages of Sunday's race at Paul Ricard but crashed out of proceedings with a costly mistake, handing the advantage to Verstappen.
Verstappen went on to claim his seventh victory of the season and put more than two race wins between himself and Leclerc in the Drivers' standings.
Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz have also cut the gap to Leclerc as a result.
Meanwhile, Red Bull are now 82 points clear of Ferrari in the Constructors' battle, with Mercedes closing up on the Scuderia thanks to their double podium.
