Oliver Bearman

Oliver Bearman is the current F2 driver of Prema Racing. This is his second season within Formula 2, and he's one of the favourites for the title. This year, he made his F1 debut with Ferrari during the Saudi Arabian GP because Carlos Sainz was ill.

Who is Oliver Bearman?

Oliver Bearman is a British racing driver. He started karting in 2013 and made the step to Formula cars in 2020. This year, the Briton made his single-seater debut in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship. One year later, Bearman raced for Van Amersfoort Racing in both German and Italian F4. Alongside this, Oliver Bearman drove in the BRDC Formula 3 championship.

First year Formula 2 & 3 with Prema Racing

Later in 2023, the Briton switched to the FIA Formula 3 championship for Prema Championship. He finished third in the championship and was promoted to the FIA Formula 2 championship. He had an amazing rookie year with Prema Racing and ended sixth in the championship. In 2023, Bearman will drive once again for the Italian team and is a favourite for the championship title.

FP1 for Haas in 2023

In 2023, Oliver Bearman participated in the FP1 session in Abu Dhabi for the Haas F1 team. This marked his F1 debut, and he completed 24 laps for the American team with a fastest lap time of 1:27.569. He finished 20th in the session, behind Kevin Magnussen, who was approximately one tenth faster.

2024 F1 Ferrari debut Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

Carlos Sainz drove in FP1 and FP2 for Ferrari. However, the next day, on Friday before the start of FP3, Ferrari announced that Sainz was too ill to drive during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend. The Italian team announced that Oliver Bearman would be driving for the entire weekend to replace Sainz. This means the Briton will drive in his first F1 race, making him the youngest Ferrari F1 driver in history.
