No, Ferrari's new sponsor didn't 'leak' Hamilton arrival

Ferrari bagged a new sponsor earlier this week in the form of Peroni - but no, they didn't leak the arrival of Lewis Hamilton.

Everyone loves an easter egg hidden away in plain sight, right?

Well, in the aftermath of the news that Lewis Hamilton is set to join Ferrari to partner Charles Leclerc, a Ferrari sponsor announcement caught the eye of some on social media.

Peroni has joined the Scuderia, and in a marketing poster, an old Ferrari F1 car with the number #44 can be seen.

#44 is of course Hamilton's race number, and the discovery led some to believe that Peroni had dropped a massive hint about Hamilton's impending arrival.

Whilst it would be a fun story, the actual truth is that the car featured is Maurice Trintignant's 1955 Monaco GP-winning Ferrari 625, which carried the #44.

But there's no such thing as a coincidence...
