Helmut Marko has released a statement following the sacking of Christian Horner from his position as Red Bull CEO and team principal.
Horner was relieved of his duties on Wednesday, 9th July, after 20 years at the helm of Red Bull and was promptly replaced by Racing Bulls boss Laurent Mekies.

Honda Racing president Koji Watanabe has expressed his gratitude to Christian Horner following his shock departure from Red Bull.
Horner was relieved of his duties on Wednesday morning, ending his 20-year reign as team principal since Red Bull first hit the F1 grid in 2005.

Red Bull development driver Jake Dennis thought Christian Horner's sacking from the team "was a joke" after it was flagged up to him by a friend.
Dennis, the 2022-23 season Formula E champion, has been on Red Bull's books since 2018 after being handed his current role by Horner.
