Max Verstappen has expressed concern about hitting the Monaco walls after a troubled day of free practice.
During FP2, the Red Bull driver complained of bouncing like a "kangaroo" and that he was getting a "headache" as the RB20 struggled over the bumps and kerbs of the street track.
Verstappen complained that Red Bull did not have a solution to the problem, as he ended up behind Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso in the second session - nearly six-tenths behind the Ferrari.
The gap and struggles were so vast, but it is not unexpected, according to Verstappen.
"I actually had a lot of fun driving, it was good, but just very difficult when the car is not really doing what you want around here," he explained.
"With the bumps, it is very easy to add one extra jump and you are already [in] the wall.
"In that sense, it was maybe a good lesson that we can fine-tune that to know when the car jumps and bounces.
"But I knew coming into the weekend that it was going to be very difficult - and in that way, I am not surprised to see Ferrari so quick."

No miracles
As for Ferrari, Verstappen does not believe Ferrari is within range for the world champions.
"Ferrari are miles ahead, and I am not even thinking about that for [qualifying]," he added.
"I just want to solve the issues that we have and try to make it a bit more drivable - and then we will see where we end up, but I don't expect any miracles."
