George Russell crashed his Mercedes heavily in Free Practice 2 for the Mexican Grand Prix - his second big impact in less than a week.
With just 13 minutes on the clock during the Pirelli tyre test that is the second practice, Russell got on the kerb at Turn 8, and spun broadside into the TecPro barrier at high-speed.
He clambered from the car, but was seen to be holding his ribs and was taken straight to the medical centre by the FIA medical car which was deployed automatically as the g-sensor was triggered.
Russell also crashed heavily in qualifying for the United States GP last Saturday, destroying his set of Mercedes' new upgrades.
The team later provided a health update on Russell's condition.
