F1 fitness levels are set to be put to the test at next weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix, with scorching weather conditions forecast for the event.

Round 13 of the campaign will take place around the Hungaroring, as Max Verstappen enters the round looking to extend his championship lead.

McLaren and Mercedes have upped their pace at recent events, while Ferrari is aiming to bounce back after a difficult run of races.

However, the drivers are set to be thrown an added challenge with temperatures sitting well above 30 degrees Celcius.

A maximum of 34 degrees Celcius is projected across Friday and Saturday when practice and qualifying will take place.

Race day on Sunday will also see a maximum of 34 degrees however there is also a risk of thunderstorms throughout the day.

The temperatures inside the cockpit will rise much higher, however, placing the drivers' physical and mental training into action.

Many drivers struggled at last year's Qatar Grand Prix which was held in extremely hot and humid conditions.
