The Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort is set to be disrupted by Storm Lillian, which is sweeping across the south of the UK and norther Europe.
The Dutch weather service has issued a 'Code Yellow', which is equivalent to, unsurprisingly, a yellow weather warning in the UK.
Zandvoort is expected to experience winds in the region of 80-90 km/h and there will be wet weather is due on Saturday, as well as today, on practice Friday.
The temperature is around 20°C and the rain is expected to subside over the afternoon.
"Heavy gusts of wind are expected in the northwestern and western coastal areas. The wind will decrease later in the afternoon," says the Dutch weather service.
"On Saturday, the chance of several heavy thunderstorms will increase towards the end of the afternoon and beginning of the evening. Locally, (heavy) gusts of wind and hail are possible."
The wind will slightly reduce during the rain showers, but hail has not been ruled out, with the website adding: "During the thunderstorms, 10-20 mm of rain may fall locally in a short period of time. Wind gusts of up to 75 km/h are possible during the showers. Hail of 1-2 cm may also occur locally."
