Will Tsunoda defeat yet another F1 team-mate at Racing Bulls?

Yuki Tsunoda will be partnered by F1 rookie Isack Hadjar at Racing Bulls this season, but will the Japanese driver be able to get the better of the Frenchman?

Since Pierre Gasly left the Red Bull family for pastures new at Alpine in 2023, Yuki Tsunoda has systematically and clinically dispatched the three team-mates he has been paired with at AlphaTauri/RB.

First came Nyck de Vries, who lasted just 10 rounds before being fired for Daniel Ricciardo, whose own F1 comeback was scuppered by injury.

After the Australian was let go for Liam Lawson after the Singapore Grand Prix last term, Tsunoda was able to get the better of the New Zealander.

Nevertheless, Tsunoda was snubbed in pursuit of a promotion to the main Red Bull team, with the Milton Keynes-based squad preferring Lawson to partner Max Verstappen.

Now, as the team embarks on its first season known as Racing Bulls, will the Japanese driver go four for four by defeating rookie team-mate Isack Hadjar?

Graduating to F1 off the back of a strong F2 campaign, where he finished runner-up to champion Gabriel Bortoleto, the Frenchman will hope to prove he has the pace and mettle to compete with Tsunoda, something that will no doubt be a formidable task for the 20-year-old.

Yuki for certain will out drive and score more points than Doohan, simpmy he is a better F1 driver as he is experienced. Maybe he articulate himself an an adverse way for the team or is overly emotional but he still drives very well. Strange that outrageous verbal behaviour and out of line comments from Verstappen are ok?! Not from Yuki. Verstappen is a rude guy with few social graces and a brutally self centred I am always right type of attitude but look at Jos and figure out why.

Who cares what a soccer player shouts after scoring a goal? Has everyone forgotten about Raikkonen's swearing? It doesn't matter what the driver says in his helmet. All you have to do is yell and discuss with your team. As an athlete, what you say into the microphone when you take off your helmet may be important to some extent. But speed is more important than that. If he beats Lawson 6-0 and gets ignored, then there's no point in doing anything. Quickly defeat Hajar and move on to the other team!

Defeat another team member? Interesting notion of what defeat is, he "victoriously" is still at the Junior team. Some victory there. 🙄
