F1 Academy's Chloe Chambers set a stunning 1m 22.767 in the afternoon session of Formula E's historic second women's test – held at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.
Chambers topped both the morning and afternoon session of the women's test, which saw 14 drivers gain crucial experience behind the wheel of the Gen3 Evo.
Despite very little experience in the series, Chambers' lap time was just four-tenths slower than Joel Eriksson's fastest lap across the entire Formula E pre-season test.
To add to the significance of Chambers' performance, the American driver's fastest lap was quicker than what Cupra Kiro rookie Pepe Marti achieved in the second session of the actual Formula E pre-season test.
Abbi Pulling went second quickest in the afternoon and overall on the day for Nissan, falling just 0.064s adrift of Chambers' lap time.
The top three was completed by Bianca Bustamante, while Jamie Chadwick was sixth on what was mostly a smooth day of running.
Morning session
The morning session saw lap times tumble in rapid fashion, with Chambers having gone quickest on a 1m 23.584.
Chambers looked quick immediately for Mahindra, topping the morning by nearly three-tenths ahead of Pulling.
Remarkably, the top seven, despite varying levels of experience in the Gen3 Evo, were split by under one-second.
It was an incredibly clean session, with only a couple of brief yellow flags for Tatiana Calderon finding the gravel.
Afternoon session
In the afternoon, Chambers found a staggering eight-tenths from the morning to go fastest once again.
It was a phenomenal display by the American driver, who was just 1.4s adrift of the quickest lap time set in Valencia across Formula E's pre-season test.
Like in the morning, several drivers were within one-second, a gap which split Chambers at the top and Jamie Chadwick in sixth.
Pulling and Bustamante went second and third quickest, while Alice Powell did excellently to go fourth fastest having missed much of the afternoon following a technical issue – Powell stopped on the circuit which caused a red flag.
