Romain Grosjean shows badly burnt hand after horrific crash in Bahrain

Romain Grosjean can consider himself a very fortunate man. After crashing heavily at the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix, which resulted in his car exploding into flames, the Frenchman was able to extricate himself from his car with the help of both the fire marshals and medical staff.

Thanks to the safety features of both contemporary F1 cars and tracks, the French driver was able to escape the incident with nothing more than some burns to hands, especially given the magnitude of the accident. Grosjean has had to wear bandages around his hands since the incident, but is occasionally allowed to air his hands out. During these moments he updates his fans regarding his process as we can see below. Looking at the photo it becomes clear why he had to miss the final two races of the season and how racing in them was never an option despite the wishes of fans and Grosjean himself.
