Weather update for 2023 Australian GP after wet free practice

After rain partially interrupted running in Australia Grand Prix FP2, what weather is in store for the rest of the weekend?

The weather is set to remain sunny for the rest of the weekend in Melbourne, with temperatures to max at 20 degrees centigrade on Sunday. Rain partially interrupted running on Friday which stopped a lot of teams from completing their run plans. The rain intensified into Friday evening, which heavily disrupted a chaotic Formula 2 qualifying session. With thanks to our friends at WeerOnline.nl , here's the current weather forecast for the 2023 F1 Australian Grand Prix.

Temperatures to increase

On Saturday it will be cloudy but no showers in the air, with temperatures to be slightly cooler at 17 degrees in the afternoon. Since Albert Park is practically on the sea, the warm sea water in this part of Melbourne will ensure that temperatures will not drop very much. It will only max out at 19 or 20 degrees in the middle of the day on Sunday, which is set to be sunny throughout the day. Since there is little wind, it will feel a lot warmer in the sun.
