Liam Lawson has revealed that Formula 1 has consumed his life since making his debut last month for AlphaTauri. Lawson was called into action midway through the Dutch Grand Prix weekend after Daniel Ricciardo injured his hand during a Free Practice 2 crash. The New Zealander impressed on his debut and followed up with further strong performances, including a P9 finish in Singapore. Despite his strong efforts, Lawson will not race for the team next season as AlphaTauri has signed Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda for the campaign. It is not yet officially known if Lawson will be in the car for Qatar next weekend as Ricciardo targets a comeback from his injury. Reflecting on the first four races of his career, Lawson admits that he's found himself with little time for other activities since making his debut. “It can be not good to just indulge yourself completely in Formula 1 and every minute you have to basically be studying onboards and data and looking at everything,” he told media including RacingNews365.com . “I think that can also not be good for you, especially when you're trying to sleep. “It definitely doesn't help, so for sure we've been using up making the most of the time that we have to try and prepare for all these races. “So it's definitely something that once you're in, it completely consumes your life. But it's also something that I love.”
