Horner: Red Bull have 'already filled' new trophy cabinet

The Red Bull boss is not a fan of having empty trophy cabinets on display.

Christian Horner has revealed Red Bull has ordered a new trophy cabinet, but that they've "already filled it" with its success in Formula 1. Horner is famously superstitious and has refused to order a new cabinet to be put on display Red Bull's Milton Keynes HQ because he did not want the empty space on display, prefering to squeeze as many into the existing cabinets as possible. However, in 2023, Red Bull has delivered 36 of the 42 trophies available to it meaning a new display unit is required.

Red Bull's new cabinet

"It's a nice problem to have," Horner told media including RacingNews365. "I mean, I'm superstitious, I don't like empty cabinets. "We've already ordered another cabinet, and we've already filled it, so we'll deal with that at the end of the year. "For the whole team, with everything that we're doing at the moment, we're making history. "It is not often you get the chance to do that, and I think as a team, we went through the early, building years to get where we did in 2010 to 2013, with Sebastian Vettel throughout the V8 period, in which we hit some fairly lofty highs and then we had seven tough years where we never lost focus of what our goal and objective was. "To get back into a situation where we're winning again is very special for the whole team having gone through those tough times and that hard work is paying off."
