Fans deliver verdict on record-breaking 2024 F1 calendar

2024 is set to be the longest F1 season on record with 24 Grands Prix, including three Saturday races.

Formula 1 fans believe the 2024 calendar is too long, with a record-breaking 24 Grands Prix set to take place. The new schedule was unveiled on Wednesday, featuring three Saturday races as the first two events are set to take place a day earlier than usual. This is due to Ramadan beginning on Sunday March 10th - the planned weekend of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. As such that moves to Saturday, with the Bahrain season-opener also shuffling forward 24 hours to allow for more transportation time between races. Las Vegas is the third Saturday race. In a poll conducted by RacingNews365, fans were asked: 'Is the 2024 F1 season too long?' Over 1,700 responses were collected as of 11:30am on Friday 7th July, with 1,016 believing the calendar was indeed too long at 24 events. However, 693 respondents believed that even more races could be added to the schedule. It gives a 59%-41% result. You can vote in today's poll about British Grand Prix special liveries below!
