The fight for the 2021 Drivers' Championship is well and truly back on after Lewis Hamilton took the chequered flag at the British GP, taking a sizeable chunk out of Max Verstappen's lead following the Dutchman's DNF.
No doubt the big talking point coming out of Sunday's race was the first lap incident between the two rivals. Hamilton clipped the back of Verstappen's car, sending the Red Bull driver into the wall with a 51G impact.
His retirement was made all the worse by the fact that Hamilton battled back from a 10-second penalty to score 25 points compared to the Dutchman's zero, meaning the Red Bull driver sits just eight points up after 10 races.
Sunday's results also means that Mercedes, aided by Valtteri Bottas' third-place finish, now sit just four points back of Red Bull in the Constructors' Standings. Sergio Perez came home down in 16th, meaning the Austrian team's only points this weekend came courtesy of Verstappen in Sprint Qualifying.
Elsewhere Lando Norris now finds himself third in the standings, while McLaren hold a 15-point advantage over Ferrari for third.
