Red Bull's Max Verstappen made a sensational start to claim the first F1 Sprint Qualifying, meaning he will start Sunday's British GP on pole ahead of Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.
The Briton started first but was beaten off the line by the Dutchman, who remained ahead to take the three points and pole. Hamilton came home in second ahead of teammate Valtteri Bottas, while Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris rounded out the top five.
Bottas completed all 17 laps on soft Pirelli tyres, while the other drivers were on mediums.
