F1 fans are torn on how long Max Verstappen and Liam Lawson will spend at Red Bull together.

The New Zealander has become the 27-year-old's fifth team-mate for the Milton Keynes-based squad, graduating from Racing Bulls at the end of last season to replace Sergio Perez, who was unable to continue producing the level of form required from the team.

Whilst the six-time grand prix winner lasted four seasons alongside Verstappen, his performances last term left Red Bull with no option but to replace him.

However, Lawson faces a daunting task in stepping into the seat alongside the four-time F1 drivers' champion after just 11 rounds on his CV.

The previous two drivers to be promoted from Red Bull's second team, Pierre Gasly and Alexander Albon, failed to make the grade.

The former was given just half a season, whilst the latter remained for 18 months before being replaced by Perez at the end of 2020.

However, a plurality of F1 fans believe Lawson will last somewhere between the stints of those two drivers, with just over 30 percent giving him a single season in a recent poll by RacingNews365.

Overall, over half of all respondents feel the 22-year-old will not start the 2026 F1 season alongside Verstappen.

Nevertheless, there is a true split verdict amongst fans, underscoring the uncertainty surrounding Lawson's Red Bull tenure.
