Jenson Button, who won the 2009 F1 World Championship, thinks the 2021 season could represent Max Verstappen and Red Bull's final chance at glory together. The fight for the 2021 title appears to be a two-way battle tussle between Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull's Verstappen. With a technical overhaul set to come into effect in 2022, Button thinks this could be Verstappen's last chance to claim a championship with Red Bull. "You know, for Max and Red Bull, this might be their last chance or their first chance and last chance to win a championship together," Button told the Express. "Who knows what's going to happen when they take over the Honda Power Units." Button also stated that both Hamilton and Verstappen are capable of winning the title. "Now it's at the point where it doesn't matter who wins, you know, it's such a cool championship that they're fighting against each other," Button explained. "If Lewis wins an eight title, that's fantastic, and he thoroughly deserves it. But, you know, Max gets one over on him. Wow. An amazing achievement going into this new era of F1."
