Alpine broke FIA curfew on Friday night

The Alpine team broke the enforced curfew for team personnel at the Baku City Circuit on Friday night

Alpine broke curfew on Friday night in Azerbaijan, with team personnel related to operation of the cars located within circuit confines outside of permitted hours. The regulations dictate that car-essential personnel are not permitted within the circuit during certain hours, with the curfew in the Baku paddock kicking in at 00:30 local time on Saturday morning. However, work was being carried out on Estaban Ocon's car, with a gearbox seal broken in order to replace his hydraulic differential clutch pack actuator. This was done in accordance with the regulations. But, in order to get the work done, Alpine were working outside their permitted hours. Teams are permitted two such curfew breaks over the course of a season, meaning that Alpine will not be penalised for this first transgression.
