Details of Abu Dhabi's new track layout have been revealed following the news that the circuit will undergo major changes in an attempt to improve racing and wheel to wheel action.
Two hairpins will be created including a banked turn which will see the elimination of the chicanes at the start of the second and third sectors.
The second hairpin should be similar to Mugello's first turn which created some brilliant action during F1's inaugural Tuscan Grand Prix last year.
The final sector itself will also be opened up to create a series of faster turns rather than the simple 90 degree corners which have been used since the first Abu Dhabi GP in 2009. The penultimate turn is set to be flat out which will allow cars to follow more closely as the car in front scrubs off speed when turning.
Key changes in short
-Eliminating the chicane and widening the hairpin at Turn 7
-Removing the four sharp corners at Turns 11, 12, 13 and 14 to be replaced by one long banked turn
-Opening up the radius of four corners (Turns 17, 18, 19 and 20) to create a faster flowing section of the track.
