Sakhir weather: What's in store for the Bahrain GP?

The first race of the 2023 F1 season will soon get underway, with the drivers set to take to the Bahrain International Circuit in typically warm weather.

After a long winter, the first race of the 2023 F1 season will take place today, with the Bahrain Grand Prix kicking off the 23-race calendar. While the teams and drivers were tasked with racing in strong winds in the dessert during last year's event, it looks like conditions could be slightly different this time around. With thanks to our friends at WeerOnline.nl , here's the current weather forecast for the 2023 F1 Bahrain Grand Prix.

Typically warm temperatures in Bahrain

As is usually the case in Sakhir, the race looks set to take place in warm conditions, with temperatures expected to be around 25 degrees Celsius during the event. Given that the race takes place in the evening at 18:00 local time (15:00 GMT), the sun will be setting and the floodlights will light the track. There will be little wind to contend with – unlike in 2022 – which should be one less problem for the drivers to deal with during the Grand Prix.
