Lewis Hamilton is reportedly in complete control of his Ferrari future, with a contract clause in the Briton's deal having been discovered.

According to F1-Insider, Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has discovered that Hamilton's additional third year in his contract is up to the 40-year-old, not Ferrari.

Franco Colapinto explores options outside F1 after Alpine struggles - report

Franco Colapinto has endured a difficult return to the Formula 1 grid, since replacing Jack Doohan at Alpine. Now, it is being reported that options away from F1 are already being explored.

According to Formula 1 Magazine, Colapinto's days as an Alpine driver are numbered, with his management preparing for an exit from the pinnacle of motorsport.

Toto Wolff offers Mercedes boost after F1 pace concerns

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff is confident his team is in a strong position to fight up the pecking order in the second half of the F1 season.

The Brackley-based squad has endured a challenging term to date, as it slipped down the pecking order in the European leg of the calendar.

Max Verstappen issued ‘beautiful’ approval as Red Bull dealt stern warning

Former F1 driver Martin Brundle has hailed some of Max Verstappen's qualifying performances this season, but warned Red Bull the Dutchman cannot "carry" the team forever.

Verstappen has achieved the same number of pole positions as both Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris this season (four), despite an inferior car compared to McLaren's MCL39.

F1 CEO open to radical grand prix weekend change

F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has admitted he is open to the possibility of trialling reverse grid races.

The sport introduced a major weekend schedule change at certain rounds four years ago with sprint races, which remain on the calendar today at six weekends per season.

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has commended the impact Rob Marshall has had on McLaren since joining the team.

Marshall spent 17 years working with Red Bull and contributed heavily to its run of title success with Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen.
