Who would not want to have a race track of their own. In the United States it is now possible, because the legendary Willow Springs has been put up for sale. All things considered, the price, which is not actually all that bad - for about $2.25 million the circuit can be yours. The equates to about a little less than £1.8 million. Willow Springs Raceway is located about an hour's drive from Los Angeles, California. NASCAR has raced there in the past and it is also a well-known circuit among motorcyclists. The 'Raceway' contains no less than six tracks, but the most famous configuration is over four kilometres long and has remained unchanged for the past 70 years. The circuit was opened in 1953, but has not been used for official racing since the 1980s. However, the circuit is often used as a film location and is available on the popular Grand Turismo PlayStation games - so you can try before you buy. Of course, the asking price is still a lot of money, but when you consider that for the amount you would depart with, you get a legendary track with RV parks, a restaurant and several stores, it is not a completely crazy investment.
