Round 22 of the current F1 world championship sees the sport descend on Las Vegas for the second race around the Las Vegas Strip Circuit.

The race will be held at unusual hours, as was the case in 2023 - the grand prix itself will be held on Saturday night in Las Vegas, or Sunday morning in Europe.

But what weather conditions can the teams and drivers expect as they navigate what is set up to be a thrilling weekend?

Cold Las Vegas conditions expected

As was the case last year, the sessions are set to be held in low-temperature conditions due to local start times of the outings.

Our friends at WeerOnline.nl state the conditions will reach as low as 11°C or 12°C during the practice sessions that take place on Thursday evening/night.

The temperatures will drop from the mid-20s that are expected during the day.

On Friday, the day during which qualifying is held, the all-important grid-setting session is predicted to see a temperature of 9°C - making it one of the coldest qualifying outings of the year.

The grand prix itself is set to be somewhat similar, with temperatures of 9°C - however, with increased cloud cover during the day, it could sit slightly higher at 11°C.

Whatever the case, the drivers will have their work cut out in order to get the tyres into an ideal operating window.

Despite the cold conditions, no rain is expected to fall throughout the event - so teams will likely have little use for the wet weather Pirelli tyres.
