It has been revealed that the arrival of Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari has resulted in huge financial growth for key sponsor Puma.

According to SportBusiness – a leading British business website – Puma has experienced an eightfold increase in merchandise sales in the opening months of 2025, compared to the same time period last year.

A large portion of Puma's revenue from F1 merchandise goes back to Ferrari via licensing fees, likely paying off the majority of Hamilton's huge salary of over €50 million.

Ferrari has received significant attention following the arrival of Hamilton, who is the most followed F1 driver on social media by a comfortable margin.

The seven-time world champion boasts 39.3 million followers on Instagram, whilst he also has 8.5 million followers on X.

Despite a mixed start to his first season with Ferrari, Hamilton has continued to receive an astounding amount of local support from fans in attendance.

He finished 10th in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix, before winning the China sprint race.

Unfortunately, he was disqualified from the main race at the Shanghai International Circuit due to the plank underneath his SF-25 having suffered excessive wear.
