Lewis Hamilton has reportedly made a multi-million purchase of a new house in Italy following his move to Ferrari.
Hamilton opted to call time on his tenure with Mercedes at the end of 2024 and switch to Ferrari to commence a new career chapter.
Life at the Maranello-based squad has been a mixed affair thus far as his debut for the team resulted in an underwhelming 10th place in Australia.
However, he then took his first victory in red as he prevailed in the sprint race from China before enduring a more challenging grand prix.
As he chases an unprecedented eighth F1 title, Hamilton has boosted his integration with Ferrari and has reportedly purchased a new house.
GP2 champion and Italian F1 pundit Davide Valsecchi told Corriere della Sera: “He has bought a house in Porta Nuova, one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods in Milan.”
The average price for a square meter quickly rises to more than €5,000 in Porta Nuova, so this would be a new multi-million dollar purchase by Hamilton.
The seven-time world champion bought a house in Monaco in 2012 for about €10m, then added an apartment in London in 2017 for about €21.7m
In 2020, Hamilton also sold a penthouse in New York for nearly €46m.
Hamilton will return to the cockpit this weekend in Japan for his third grand prix with Ferrari.
The 40-year-old is one of the most successful drivers around the Suzuka Circuit, winning at the venue on four occasions.
