The 2022 Formula 1 season is over after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as the curtain comes down on a thrilling season.

Max Verstappen was the runaway champion as attention was on the battle for P2, which was decided on the last lap at Yas Marina between Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc.

Lewis Hamilton retired and recorded his worst ever season in F1, winless for the first time.

Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel bowed out with 11th in the standings, as his Aston Martin team finished seventh in the Constructors', with Ferrari and Alpine also enjoying good nights.
