Lewis Hamilton closed in on Sergio Perez for second place in the Drivers' Championship after the Mercedes driver scored a second-place finish, his best result since Spain earlier this year.

It was also a positive day for McLaren despite Oscar Piastri's retirement, as Lando Norris' third place launches the team above Aston Martin for fourth in the Constructors standings.

Norris also put distance on George Russell in the Drivers' Championship and is closing in on Charles Leclerc for sixth.
