Both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were disqualified from the United States Grand Prix after too much wear was discovered on the planks of their cars post-race in routine checks.
It means the second and sixth places they earned are wiped from the record books, with Lando Norris bumped up to second as Carlos Sainz earned a third podium of the season for Ferrari.
With the double DSQ, Logan Sargeant was also promoted to 10th place and scored his first World Championship point in what has been a somewhat tricky season for the American driver.
Team-mate Alexander Albon also climbed into the points with ninth place for Williams' first double haul of the season.
