Max Verstappen has revealed Red Bull believes there remains plenty of potential to find within the new RB20.

The Milton Keynes-based outfit arrived at pre-season testing in Bahrain with alterations to its dominant Rb19 philosophy, including bodywork seemingly inspired by Mercedes' former concept.

Verstappen was near the top of the timesheets whenever he was in the car, as was Sergio Perez, whilst during long runs it was clear that Red Bull held a sizable margin over its rivals, even if fuel loads and power settings were unknown.

Asked if there was more to come, Verstappen told media including RacingNews365: "Well, the team believes that with how the car is, there is more potential to find.

"So that is now up to us to unlock."

Wind sensitivity

Wind sensitivity has been a topic of discussion with the latest generation of F1 cars, with Ferrari especially struggling with finding a balance in windy conditions last season.

Red Bull is not immune to the problem and asked if there was a noticeable change in characteristics in windy conditions with the new machinery, Verstappen explained: "I didn't feel a massive difference to last year but these cars are sensitive to wind, especially on a track like this where the wind can influence your balance quite a lot.

"Braking into one and out of one, that combination between two is always quite tricky.

"But it felt pretty similar to last year."
