Max Verstappen has sent his apologies to the organisers of a sim racing final after pulling out due to illness.

The four-time F1 champion was set to attend the Gamergy Heineken 0.0 sim racing world final in Madrid on Saturday, but due to his illness, has pulled out of the event.

Verstappen will also not be making the trip to Tashkent in Uzbekistan for the official FIA prize-giving gala to collect his runners-up trophy in the F1 world championship.
